Isaiah 35:4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
Every one of us has something we fear or dread. Sometimes, that fear can become overwhelming. We can let it consume us and it makes us miserable. I remember as a child, I watched a horror movie at a young age and it literally gave me nightmares for months. I’d keep waking up in the middle of the night, and in turn, kept waking my parents and making them to scoot over so I could get in bed with them. But at times, the fear at night was so bad, it was paralyzing.
You may have a fear of something that’s paralyzing you. You may want to fulfill a dream, but think you could never be successful. You may think it’s just too hard or would take too long to accomplish. You may fear your children have wandered away from God and are too far gone. Let me encourage you, today – nothing is too far out of reach for God. He tells us that anything is possible with Him. ANYTHING! That’s a powerful statement, but it’s coming from a powerful God. The key is to involve Him. Don’t try and do it without Him. He is the vine, and we are a branch. He tells us that if we remain in Him, we’ll bear much fruit, but apart from Him, we can do nothing.
Take your requests to God and lay them at His feet. Then – trust Him with it. When you truly trust Him, you’ll be more at peace, and it will show God your faith in Him.
John 1:6 “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
